This latest season of Beck (Banijay Rights) consists of four feature-length episodes, reuniting us with Martin Beck (Peter Haber), Alex Beijer (Jennie Silfverhjelm), Josef Eriksson (Martin Wallström), Oskar (Måns Nathanaelson), Jenny (Anna Asp) and Ayda (Elmira Arikan) – plus the welcome return of Steinar Hovland (Kristofer Hivju) from Oslo! The Beck group is all together again, happy and relieved to welcome Martin – who has given up all pretense of retiring – back from sick leave. Meanwhile, Martin’s boss Klas Fredén (Jonas Karlsson) makes their lives as difficult as ever with his constant machinations and meddling. And Martin’s grandson Vilhelm (now played by Valter Skarsgård) has enrolled in the police academy – to his mother Inger’s horror! Martin, on the other hand, is proud.
