The Bride (Banijay) follows Maria (Serena Rossi) as she is thrust into an arranged marriage that will save her family from poverty. Maria’s new life in the quiet Italian village is a drastic change from her vibrant Calabrian seaside town full of family and familiarity. Her new husband is cold and distant as she attempts to navigate her new surroundings. Despite the adverse conditions that continue to stack against her, she slowly adjusts and begins to unearth an incredible strength. Death, violence and former lovers are no match for the tremendous connections that she unexpectedly cultivates in the hard-working village.
