Detective Montalbano episodes 33 & 34 are now available on MHz Choice

Luca Zingaretti reprises his iconic role as Salvo Montalbano in the 33rd and 34th installments of this international blockbuster series, which premiered in Italy earlier this year. Series regulars Cesare Bocci (Mimi), Peppino Mazzotta (Fazio) and Angelo Russo (Catarella) also return in the new episodes, which are again directed by Alberto Sironi, who has helmed every installment of the series from the beginning.

These new episodes will also be available on DVD on June 25, 2019.

The Other End Of The Line – Premieres June 18th
EPISODE #33: The Vigata police are working exhausting nights assisting immigrants arriving by boat to Sicily. Just as they get a break, a terrible local crime also comes to their attention: a tailor Montalbano recently hired to make a suit has been found slaughtered in her own shop. The woman appears to have been well-liked by her staff and the community, and her death leaves Montalbano reeling.

A Diary From 1943 – Premieres June 25th
EPISODE #34: A long-hidden diary opens a window to tragic events from the Allies’ occupation of Sicily during World War II. While Montalbano tries to decipher the diary’s references, a 90-year-old local businessman is murdered in his home. It’s up to Montalbano to figure out if there’s any connection between the diary, the recent murder, and another 90-year-old who’s come home to Vigata from America.
