All 37 Montalbano episodes available!
Andrea Camilleri, one of the world’s most prolific and beloved novelists, screenwriters and directors has passed away at the age of 93. We at MHz Networks have often said that we are the house built by Detective Salvo Montalbano, Camilleri’s most famous creation. We appreciate all of his contributions to the world of literature and are saddened by his passing.
If you don’t know Camilleri and his Montalbano, or simply want to revisit him and his creation, we are making The Snack Thief and Montalbano and Me available for anyone to watch for free. The Snack Thief is the first of the 34 TV adaptations starring Luca Zingaretti and Montalbano and Me: Andrea Camilleri is a documentary about his life, writing and the irascible detective who captured the hearts of readers and viewers around the world.
Below we’ve assembled a few of the tributes shared about the man affectionately called “The Maestro.”

I’ve read, enjoyed, and have learned a great deal from all of Andrea Camilleri’s Montalbano books. He was a wise and gifted writer. I wish I had known him. I will miss him, and Montalbano, very much. https://t.co/BigJovg5v6
