Erik and Adam are identical twin brothers, living completely different lives. Erik is a broke surfer bum. Adam is a successful family and businessman. When Erik seeks out his brother for the first time in 15 years, a quarrel ends with Erik and Adam’s wife, Ingrid, accidentally killing Adam. To avoid getting arrested for murder and save his brother's family, Erik takes over Adam’s identity. It soon turns out that the biggest challenge is not avoiding getting caught – it’s pretending to be someone you’re not.

KRISTOFER HIVJU | ERIK & ADAM
Kristofer Hivju is widely known for his role as Tormund Giantsbane in HBO’s fantasy smash Game of Thrones. In TWIN, Mr. Hivju plays identical twins Erik and Adam and is also a co-creator on the series.
Hivju received his education from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts and debuted in the prequel to the John Carpenter classic, The Thing. He also starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s After Earth and won a Swedish Gold Scarab (Guldbagge) for his role in Ruben Östlund’s acclaimed Force Majeure. Hivju is also well-known for his roles in Fast and Furious 8 and the Swedish television series Beck among others.
REBEKKA NYSTABAKK | INGRID
Rebekka Nystabakk is first and foremost known for her memorable roles on stage at Hålogaland theatre, portraying characters in e.g. Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Amadeus and last but not least, the title role in Henrik Ibsen’s acclaimed play Hedda Gabler. Nystabakk is also well known for her role in the Norwegian film Out of Nature, that was nominated for Best Film at the Norwegian Amanda Awards in 2015. TWIN is Nystabakk’s TV series debut.
GUNNAR EIRIKSSON | FRANK
After receiving his BA in Acting at Nord-Trøndelag University College in 2011, Gunnar has worked at a number of Norwegian theaters over the last several years. A well known performer in many productions at The Trondelag Theatre in Trondhiem, he recently took the title role in the musical comedy Robin Hood – Rai Rai in the Sherwood Forest. TWIN is Eiriksson’s tv-series debut.
KRISTOFFER METCALFE | DIRECTOR
Kristoffer Metcalfe is the creator, head writer, director and showrunner of TWIN.
A directorial graduate from the Norwegian Film School in 2008, Metcalfe’s debut feature Cupid’s Balls was released in 2011. He has since worked as development producer on several features and TV-series, among these the feature Journey To The Christmas Star and the feature documentary Magnus. He has also directed short films and documentaries, and written scripts for several features.
ERIKA CALMEYER | DIRECTOR
Erika Calmeyer is a co-director on TWIN. Erika has a degree from the prestigious Victorian College of Arts in Melbourne, Australia, and graduated from the Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer in 2014. Her first short film Lea (2014) was screened at several festivals. She also directed the short film The Weight of Spring, and worked as a director’s assistant on the TV-series Valkyrie (2017).
SIGURD MIKAL KAROLIUSSEN | PRODUCER
Sigurd Mikal Karoliussen is the main producer of TWIN. Karoliussen has 20 years of experience in film and TV production. Since graduating from the Norwegian Film School in 2000, he has worked on more than 15 films, including Oscar nominee Elling, Buddy, Uno and Izzat. In 2007 he was hired as an advisor in Nordic Film & TV Fund, where he evaluated over 300 feature films and 70 TV-series among others; Millenium, The Bridge, Involuntary, Songs from the Second Floor, Let the Right One In, The Art of Crying, Antichrist, Fast Cash and Kon-Tiki. He has produced Journey to the Christmas Star (2012) – sold to 116 countries – and the feature documentary Magnus (2016), portraying the Chess Grand Master and current Chess World Champion, Magnus Carlsen, that premiered at Tribeca Film festival.
MARTIN HORNTVETH | COMPOSER
Martin is a Norwegian musician (primarily drummer), composer and electronica artist, the younger brother of tubaist Line Horntveth, but best known as the drummer and key member of Jaga Jazzist and The National Bank together with his brother Lars Horntveth. Martin has also written music for several TV series’ including Mammon, Luftens Helter and participated in the TV series Thursday evening with Steinar Sagen where he was musical director and studio musician in the fictional TV show.
The TWIN soundtrack was released in October 2019 and can be streamed on Pandora, Spotify among others.
