Beck is back! Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones, TWIN) and Peter Haber lead the cast as the seventh season of Sweden’s most popular crime drama now streaming on MHz Choice.

In the first of four new episodes, a young boy is found murdered and the Beck group’s investigation leads them to a narcotics network. Klas Fredén (Jonas Karlsson) has been running a long-term undercover operation and doesn’t want to jeopardize his case – but he grants the team, led by Alex Beijer (Jennie Silfverhjelm), permission to pursue their murder investigation.

Their conflict causes division chief Martin Beck (Peter Haber) to become involved in his former unit’s work, which ultimately invigorates him. On a personal note, newly single Steinar (Kristofer Hivju) is having a hard time, torn between his Stockholm police work and missing his children in Oslo. Oskar (Måns Nathanaelson) and Jenny (Anna Asp) try to help him overcome his loneliness – by introducing him to Tinder!

But it is the introduction of one of Fredén’s undercover agents, played by Martin Wallström (Johan Falk, The Sandhamn Murders), that proves pivotal to the season as it plays out…

Note: Beck Season 8 will premiere sometime in 2022.
