Belgian noir The Break (Federation Entertainment) begins as it means to go on: with a tragedy.

Devastated by his wife’s sudden death, Brussels detective Yoann Peeters (Yoann Blanc, Pandora) moves back to his childhood hometown of Heiderfeld, Belgium, along with his teenage daughter Camille. Yoann has barely begun to settle back into his late father’s home when young detective Sébastian Drummer (Guillaume Kerbusch, The Crimson Rivers) comes knocking at his door. The body of 19-year-old Driss Assani (Jérémy Zagba, Good People), a recent Togolese immigrant and rising soccer star, has just been found in the Semois River – and Sébastian needs help with his very first murder case. Yoann embarks on the investigation and finds himself confronted with a complex crime that will test the very limits of his reality.
