Season 2 of the Dutch crime drama Anonymous takes the Jansen family’s battle against crime to an entirely new level. And “new level” barely begins to describe it. What starts as a secret citizen movement quickly becomes a dangerous, increasingly unpredictable fight with consequences that reach far beyond the family’s control.

At the center are history teacher Jurre Jansen, played by Jeroen Spitzenberger, and his wife Saar, played by Anniek Pheifer, a public prosecutor who has now joined Jurre at the head of Anonymous. Their mission is to fight the growing violence in the Netherlands – but operating outside the law comes at a steep price. Their son Boet is eager to join the fight while daughter Ella and her girlfriend Mia wrestle with just how far the movement should go.

The family faces threats from every direction. Chris Cabo is out for revenge following his release from prison, while the widow of Paul van Zetten begins her own campaign against Anonymous. Meanwhile, the police and justice system see the movement as a threat rather than an ally.

Set in Rotterdam, Season 2 is darker, more intense and way more unhinged than its predecessor. The stakes are enormous, the danger is relentless and absolutely nothing about this season is predictable…
