Gabia – Operation Cage is a dark Spanish thriller set in Mallorca and centering around the real-life 2009 Palma Nova bombing by ETA, the Basque nationalist and separatist organization. This two-part limited series follows Sergi (Xavi Núñez), a single father with a history of mental health issues who lives on a boat and befriends a tourist couple now stuck on the island during a mandatory lockdown activated in the aftermath of the bombing. As his personal life gets more strained with his daughter and ex-wife, Sergi’s paranoia begins to get the best of him as he suspects his new friends had something to do with the attacks…
