Set in the Italian Lake District, Voiceless (ITV Studios) is an atmospheric, female-driven drama that delicately yet fearlessly weaves complex, topical issues of prejudice and violence against women into a provocative thriller. Cristiana Capotondi stars as the brilliant, strong-willed police investigator Eva Cantini who, after many years in Rome, returns to her hometown to help her struggling sister raise her child.

When Gioia Scuderi (Giulia Arena), an aspiring model and actress with a bad reputation around town, is discovered lifeless at the bottom of the lake, Eva is assigned to the case. In her quest for the truth, Eva forms powerful new alliances as she uncovers a network of violent, controlling men surrounding Gioia, all while embarking on an unexpected relationship of her own with her colleague Marco Corvi, played by Matteo Martari (The Alligator, The Bastards of Pizzofalcone). Lucrezia Lante della Rovere (Donna Detective) also stars in this Italian-French co-production, originally titled Bella Da Morire (“Beauty to Die For”) in Italian and La Disparue du Lac Noir (“The Disappeared of Black Lake”) in French.
