German made-for-TV movie Luther and I chronicles the life of Katharina von Bora, a nun in the 16th century. When reading Martin Luther’s writings about the freedom of the individual, she decides to leave her life as a cloistered nun to join Martin Luther’s reform movement in Wittenberg.
