Premieres March 3rd
Each of the eight TV movies in this collection pairs an acclaimed French filmmaker with a classic crime novel, exploring various iterations of Film Noir along the way – from the macabre to the romantic, from gritty realism to tongue-in-cheek farce.
And true to its name, the stories are dark. In the first story, “Recipe for a Killing,” an abusive old winemaker (Nils Arestrup) takes issue with how his young cook (Julie-Marie Parmentier) made the green beans. Not for the faint of heart.
