In the second season of The Hunters (ITV Studios), Erik Bäckström’s (Rolf Lassgård) calm existence is shaken when Joar Särn reappears in his life, 15 years after he was convicted of a murder that still plagues the small community in northern Sweden. Erik’s decision to start investigating the case again leads to open conflict with his former friends, not least with his nephew Peter, who has now shouldered the duties of a policeman. Soon Erik and Peter find themselves on opposite sides of the escalating conflict in the area, and Erik is once again faced with the choice of sacrificing those he loves, if justice is to prevail.
