The remote mountain village of Oberwies is on the brink of big changes. Thirty years ago, a landslide buried part of the village beneath it – including twelve children. Oberweis never fully recovered but now, thanks to billionaire Saudi investor Kazem al-Baroudi, a giant vacation resort is going to be built in the village. Many locals look forward to cashing in, and quite a few have invested themselves – but not all the villagers are so excited about becoming a tourist trap. When the Arab investor’s daughter Amina disappears without a trace shortly before the project’s groundbreaking, local cop Rosa Wilder (Sarah Spale) is tasked with finding her – as well as solving a murder which may be connected to the case. Working with federal agent Manfred Kägi (Marcus Signer), Rosa unearths the dark secret Oberweis has been hiding for years – one which has more to do with her own history than she knows…
