Among the delights of Tatort: Borowski are the deliciously awkward moments when Detective Klaus Borowski’s driven nature collides with the real world. He’s a man tied up, disconnected from his own emotions and humanity and good for nothing except work. For him, relational moments are fraught with danger and uncertainty. He’s no good at them and simply doesn’t know what to do. His nightmare is any situation involving dancing, which is why the writers have included it in so many episodes. Lucky for us!

In this scene from episode 3, he strides purposefully into a senior recreational dance class. One brave soul even asks him to join in. He does so, pitifully and with protest, but he doesn’t let it interfere with why he’s there. Welcome to the weird world of Klaus Borowski (played by Axel Milberg)!
