The world lost Gigi Proietti today – the luminous comic presence in Bulletproof Heart. His blockbuster career as an actor, musician, comedian and director spanned six decades. The ultimate Roman, Proietti was born in Rome on November 2 in 1940 and died there on the same date – and he spent his life celebrating Roman culture. He leaves behind a wife, two daughters and millions of fans in Italy and beyond.
