'The Diplomat' returns with two new episodes

The two latest episodes for The Diplomat (Global Screen) take German ambassador Karla Lorenz (Natalia Wörner) to Prague, where her duties include diplomacy, advocacy for German citizens and as it turns out, sleuthing. The first episode concerns a rape/assault case in which Karla’s friend’s son is hauled into the police station as a suspect. Karla intervenes of behalf of her friend, which ticks off the police investigator (Alexander Beyer) no end.

What she and the local detective both discover is a rats’ nest of criminality, abuse and exploitation, causing their tightly-held suppositions to get turned upside down. Nothing is what it seems – about the crime itself or about each other….
