Charlotte Lindholm is on the move, but a new city brings no escape from trouble. Maria Furtwängler returns as the formidable investigator for her three latest cases that take her from Göttingen back to Hanover – and put her long-running partnership with Anaïs Schmitz (Florence Kasumba) to the test. Schmitz, recently seen teaming up with Thorsten Falke in Tatort: Falke Season 2, has been Lindholm’s trusted partner through some of Göttingen’s toughest cases. In “Getting Back at the World”, the dynamic duo investigate the murder of a young student that may be linked to a serial sex offender targeting women in the city. As disturbing connections emerge, Lindholm and Schmitz find themselves chasing a killer who may be closer than they think…

“Deadly Aim” begins with a van plowing into a crowd in Göttingen. What looks like a tragic accident soon raises troubling questions, sending Lindholm and Schmitz into the world of a delivery company where vulnerable workers face intense pressure and accountability is hard to pin down.

In “The Last Harvest”, Lindholm has returned to Hanover and is back with the state police. When a Romanian farm worker is found decapitated in the Altes Land, Lindholm questions the circumstances surrounding his death and turns her attention to the troubled family running the farm.

The murder investigation also happens to begin 1 week before a vote to make the “Women’s Safety Act” permanent. Naturally, political pressure from all sides of the issue builds throughout the season.
