Season 2 of Simon Coleman finds the title character played by Jean-Michel Tinivelli of Alice Nevers fame settling more comfortably into his new life in Aix-en-Provence. Once an undercover Paris police officer, Simon is now balancing criminal investigations with the unexpected responsibility of raising his late sister’s three children. That winning mix of crime solving and family comedy remains the heart of the series, but the second season gives both sides of Simon’s life greater depth.

The biggest change from Season 1 is that the family dynamic has matured. The children are older, bringing new everyday challenges that Simon cannot solve with police instincts alone. At the same time, an ongoing personal storyline involving the children’s aunt adds emotional stakes that continue across the season, giving the series a stronger serialized thread than before. Of course, each episode still delivers a self-contained mystery, from crimes set in and around vineyards and luxury villas to investigations in the worlds of cosmetics, magic and gourmet pastry.
