Based on a series of novels by Tadej Golob, The Lake Trilogy is in many ways Slovenia’s Alpine answer to the Nordic Noir craze: a cinematic police procedural in a scenic, winter landscape with a dark and troubled protagonist. The Lake Trilogy checks all of the boxes!

The series follows Chief Inspector Taras Birsa (Sebastian Cavazza), who stops to help a police vehicle on his way home from a holiday party and inadvertently gets roped into investigating a brutal murder. He soon gets another surprise when he is told that he will be working with detective Tina Lanc (Nika Rozman, Agent Hamilton).
