Bulletproof Heart brings you two megastars – Gigi Proietti and the city of Rome. Proietti is the ultimate entertainer – he’s been at it for more than six decades (turning 80 this November) and reigns supreme in Italian theater, film, television and film voiceover dubbing. He’s a blast of fun, especially when squaring off with character actors like Marco Marzocca, a famous comedian in his own right. Marzocca plays the nebishy photog, Fiocchi, Bruno’s primary partner in crime.

The other megastar always ready for a closeup is Rome. If you’ve been there, want to go there, your family’s from there or you just like it – Bulletproof Heart is a one big, fat valentine to the Eternal City. All the food references, the scenes on rooftops and in villas, in small shops and on cobblestone streets and around archeological digs and famous landmarks. It’s a feast.

Something else fun – MHz viewers will recognize Sergio Alessi (Inspector Nardone) as police chief Sartori, and the supporting newsroom character, Marzia is played by Gigi’s daughter, Carlotta Proietti.
