A veteran police officer from Rome finds himself partnered with a rookie from the Ivory Coast in the contemporary Italian crime drama Carlo & Malik.

Carlo Guerrieri (Claudio Amendola, Lampedusa) is a jaded, middle-aged cop and single father who has not had the career he thinks he deserved. His daughter, the police forensic scientist Alba (Rosa Diletta Rossi, Don Matteo), has recently left home, leaving him all alone. Then the young and bright Malik Soprani (Miguel Gobbo Diaz, Zero), an undercover narcotics officer of African descent whom Carlo meets in a failed drug bust, comes into his life – and these two opposites are forced to work together!

To complicate matters – once they meet, Malik and Carlo’s daughter Alba are instantly attracted to each other. The only question is – who should tell her father?
