Director Josée Dayan’s two-part mystery Entre vents et marées (2014) features a host of faces familiar to MHz Choice subscribers – chief among them Jacques Spiesser (Magellan) and Muriel Robin (Call My Agent and the upcoming Master Crimes) – but none proved more impactful than Corrine Masiero’s masterful, scene-stealing debut in the role she was born to play – that of Captain Marleau! So impactful, in fact, that the very next year she was given her own spin-off series – one that continues enchanting audiences to this day.

But here in the original Entre vents et marées two-parter – anglicized as “Wind and Tides” and presented as Season 4, Episodes 5 and 6 of our ongoing Captain Marleau series – the good Captain is a scene-stealing supporting character in a plot which would not be out of place as a Murder In… mystery.
