A twisty Belgian crime drama, in Dutch, about two down-on-their-luck losers who hatch a plan to strike it rich – by claiming to find Hitler’s long-lost wine cellar!
Erik, a disgraced engineer, and Lenny, a small-time crook, stumble upon a World War II resistance cellar in the Ardennes. The cellar contains weapons, counterfeiting tools… and a few bottles of dusty old wine. The guys see a great opportunity for a con by persuading a Brussels antiquarian that the wine belonged to the Führer himself – and they produce a forged letter to prove it! The bottles from the cellar quickly find generous buyers, but the whole racket comes with strings attached. The wine formerly (allegedly) owned by the most evil of men mysteriously brings disaster to all who touch it and, soon enough, the amateur counterfeiters find themselves completely out of their depth…
