Alice in Wonderland
The lead role of Alice is played by internationally known Ukranian-French model and actress Olga Kurylenko. American audiences may be familiar with her role as Bond girl Camille opposite Daniel Craig’s James Bond in 2008’s Quantum of Solace.
What’s in a name?
The series was originally released in France on June 10, 2020 under the title Romance: The Girl from the Shore.

Deep Blue Sea
Without giving away too much, the “transformative” song Jérémy sings in club Wonderland is “Deep Blue Sea” by influential American folk singer Odetta (see clip below). The track comes from Odetta’s seminal debut album, “Odetta Sings Ballads and Blues”, released in April 1957. Bob Dylan has singled out this album as the reason he first got interested in folk music. “The first thing that turned me on to folk singing was Odetta,” said Dylan in an interview in 1978. “I heard a record of hers in a record store, and right then and there, I went out and traded my electric guitar and amplifier for an acoustical guitar, a flat-top Gibson.”

Haylen
In episode 1 during the New Years Eve party, French singer-songwriter Haylen treats revelers to “Good Things”.
Howlin’ Jaws
In episode 2 during Jeremy’s first visit to the 1960’s version of Wonderland, Howlin’ Jaws can be seen tearing up the stage performing “Burning House”.
Hetty Kate
In a pivotal scene in episode 2, jazz vocalist Hetty Kate offers a haunting version of “The Very Thought of You” during Jérémy and Alice’s first dance.
Haven’t I seen Pierre Deladonchamps in something else?
