In Chantal (France Televisions), Inspector Chantal Vantomme (Maaike Cafmeyer, The Twelve) starts a new life in the small rural town of Loveringem with her daughter Emma. People in this Belgian “Wild West” are used to taking matters into their own hands. The apparent tranquility of the far west of Flanders shouldn’t deceive anyone. Under the surface of the town’s smiling faces lurks seedy secrets and unexpected mystery.

The quirky combo of colorful local characters and off-beat crimes doesn’t give our inspector much down time. But Chantal doesn’t mind because she doesn’t intend on being in this small town for long.
