Welcome to Season 16 of MHz Choice subscriber favorite Murder In… – a brand-new collection of French mysteries set in stunning locations, from the Marquesas Islands to Normandy, featuring ancient legends, long-buried secrets, devilish plots, tragic love stories and… gladiators? (Do you like movies about gladiators? Do ya?)

One of the best-loved features of Murder In… is the stunning drone shots of spectacular French landscapes. So, as is our practice, we have put together a fun montage of some of the finest drone photography from the upcoming Season 16!

We start in Nîmes (which is where the gladiators come in) at the Arena of Nîmes, the exceptionally well-preserved Roman amphitheater that was built around 100 AD in southern France. From there we move to Le Puy-en-Velay near the river Loire, also in southern France, which is famous for its cathedral. Next we go to Normandy, to the picturesque town of Honfleur with its iconic 17th century inner harbor. Then to Caudry, a town in northern France known as the global capital of textile manufacturing and luxury lace. Let’s look at some pretty lace while we’re here. OK, that was fun. Now it’s time to go to Polynesia and the Marquesas Islands for a spot of diving with Sara Mortensen before flying back to Chartres, just southwest of Paris, with yet another iconic cathedral. We end our Season 16 drone tour on a high note (pun intended) in Millau at the confluence of the Tarn and Dourbie rivers along with breathtaking views of the Viaduc de Millau, the 343-meter high bridge spanning the Tarn Valley. 343 meters – that’s higher than the Eiffel Tower, folks. Wow, what a view!
