A Good Family starts with what appears to be a simple investigation into a murder, but veteran homicide detective Anna Valli (Maria Sid) cannot simply solve this crime. Her son Niko (Elias Salonen) is at least a witness and in all sorts of trouble. Anna’s husband and Niko’s father Henrik (Samuli Edelmann) is a well-known author of crime novels and unbeknownst to Anna, has his own methods of covering his son’s tracks. Anna and Henrik are each secretly helping their son, but the family secrets don’t end there.
