Mark your calendars: Season 8 of The Art of Crime is coming to MHz Choice!

Known in France as L’art du crime, this hit series follows an unlikely investigative duo: Antoine Verlay (Nicolas Gob, A French Village, Murder In…), a no-nonsense police commander, and Florence Chassagne (Eléonore Bernheim, Maigret, Murder In…), an art history expert whose knowledge of paintings, sculptures, and artistic movements repeatedly proves essential to cracking cases. Together they solve murders that tend to orbit the world of fine art, making the show a favorite among viewers who enjoy both procedural mysteries and a strong sense of place and culture.

Now fans of this wonderfully creative series have time to brush up on their art history! The episodes premiering in June feature crimes related to the work of two very different artists: the Italian Renaissance painter Raphael and French neoclassicist Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres. The Ingres episode in particular finds Florence and Captain Verlay in some very…hairy… situations!
