Set against the dramatic backdrop of northern Norway, Liv is a character-driven family drama about three siblings whose personal and professional lives become increasingly intertwined. Charlotte Grundt stars as Ingrid Nygaard, a successful surgeon at a hospital in Tromsø who makes the unexpected decision to leave her demanding career and move with her family to a quieter life by the sea. Jesper Malm plays her brother Tobias, while Zoe Winther-Hansen portrays Ingrid’s teenage daughter Thale. Hanne Mathisen Haga co-stars as Aurora Enoksen, with Terje Skonseng Naudéer as Jacob.

Season 1 introduces the Nygaard family as Ingrid’s decision to walk away from her career raises questions within the family and puts pressure on long-standing relationships.
