Famous for her role as Detective Saga Norén in the seminal Scandinavian classic The Bridge, Swedish actress Sofia Helin again returns to the Nordic Noir genre in Fallen Season 2.
Helin stars as Iris Broman, a seasoned police officer who left her life in Stockholm after a personal tragedy. She relocates to southern Sweden, living in the coastal town of Ystad – Kurt Wallander’s old stomping ground! – while leading the Cold Case unit in nearby Malmö. The new season begins with a body being discovered buried near a manor house outside Ystad, leading Iris and her team to reopen a case that may connect to another long-unsolved murder being examined by a documentary film crew. As the investigation unfolds, a mysterious message from Iris’ former colleague in Stockholm introduces unexpected complications and forces the team to reassess what they know about the past…
Fallen was created by Camilla Ahlgren, head writer of The Bridge who also wrote for such popular shows as The Sandhamn Murders and Spring Tide. The series co-stars Hedda Stiernstedt (Beforeigners, Wallander) as Kattis, Kajsa Ernst (Annika Bengtzon: Crime Reporter) as Kerstin and Norwegian actor Pål Sverre Hagen (Valkyrien, Kon-Tiki) as Niklas.
Fallen Season 2 streams March 24th, 2026 on MHz Choice.
