French mystery The Black Widow streams March 24th, 2026 in the U.S. and Canada on MHz Choice!

A grieving widow is the prime suspect in her husband’s death in the French limited series The Black Widow, streaming March 24th, 2026 in the U.S. and Canada on MHz Choice.

The series stars Odile Vuillemin (Riviere-Perdue, Murder In…) as Isabelle Dubreuil, a florist in a quiet southern French town whose life changes when her husband Pascal is found dead inside a burned-out car. At first Isabelle appears to be a grieving widow, but the circumstances surrounding the death quickly raise doubts. As investigators look deeper into her past, disturbing patterns begin to emerge…

Leading the investigation is Captain Mathilde Delboscq (Joyce Bibring, Simon Coleman, Camilla Läckberg’s Erica), a determined gendarmerie officer who becomes convinced that Isabelle may be hiding a dark secret. Their tense psychological duel forms the core of the series, as the officer attempts to unravel the truth behind several suspicious relationships and possible crimes. The supporting cast includes Laurent Gamelon (The Traveller, Captain Marleau) as Colonel Vasseur, Cyril Lecomte (Unclaimed, Sophie Cross) as Isabelle’s husband Pascal and Malik Elakehal El Miliani (Tom and Lola, All This I Will Give To You) as Lieutenant Karim Venturi.

Filmed in and around Aix-en-Provence, The Black Widow uses authentic Provençal locations to contrast the beauty of southern France with the dark true-crime inspired story at the center of the series – heightening the sense of mistrust and intrigue surrounding Isabelle’s enigmatic past…

The Black Widow streams March 24th, 2026 on MHz Choice.
