Chen Wei is a bookstore owner, aspiring author and mystery enthusiast. His popular web series features himself and a few friends while they dissect gruesome aspects of various mysteries. Reality and fiction collide when Chen witnesses a murder. His life begins to imitate a famous Sherlock Holmes novel. Unsure of who to trust, he slowly becomes unhinged. Friendships fray and the leaking roof in his shop becomes the least of his worries as damning evidence links the bookstore to the crime scene. Chen begins to wonder if the parallels to detective fiction are a coincidence or for a sinister blueprint for murder.
