Imma Tataranni stars Vanessa Scalera as the title character, a workaholic deputy prosecutor with a prodigious memory and unique sense of style who solves the cases entrusted to her with unorthodox methods and attitude to spare. Filmed throughout the stunning Basilicata region of southern Italy, the show is based in the ancient city of Matera, famous for its Sassi district of hillside cave dwellings dating back thousands of years.

Following on from the events of last season’s cliffhanger ending, Season 4 begins with Imma’s beloved Carabiniere deputy Marshal Calogiuri still in a coma, Imma’s daughter Valentina getting ready to move to Naples for university and Imma’s husband Pietro, stuck in a rut and deciding he needs some physical activity, joining the local boxing gym. Meanwhile at work, Chief Prosecutor Vitali contemplates retirement and Imma’s best friend/clerk Diana leaps headfirst into the world of online dating!
