On Tuesday, June 28, 2016, MHz Networks will premiere the long-awaited new episodes of the beloved Italian television series Detective Montalbano (Il Commissario Montalbano) on its proprietary SVOD platform, MHz Choice and on DVD.
Italian actor Luca Zingaretti reprises his iconic role as Salvo Montalbano in these 27th and 28th episodes of the international blockbuster series set in the fictional Sicilian city of Vigata. As the honest and independent police chief with a penchant for fine food, Montalbano balances the demands of his northern Italian superiors and the realities of small-town crime. The work brings him and his deputies across the paths of unforgettable, uniquely Sicilian characters.
