May is for mysteries on MHz Choice (and thrillers and crime dramas and more, of course!)
The new and returning mysteries this month are ideal for fans wanting new seasons of beloved favorites as well as new series to fall in love with. Two very different French mysteries lead the pack: there’s Fred Vargas’ The Adamsberg Mysteries, a classic procedural based on the novels by the incredibly curious Fred Vargas, and The Family Detective, a light but endlessly charming series about overbearing, loving parents that get a little too involved in their detective daughter’s job. Then the returning mysteries feature three heavy hitters: Season 4 of the tropical Pacific Criminal, Season 5 of longtime fan-favorite Captain Marleau, and a fifth season of Italian sensation Imma Tataranni.
If thrillers and crime dramas are more your speed, May has got you covered, too. The month kicks off with a new country to MHz Choice: Lex Africana is a Senegalese French language thriller that is action-packed and perfect viewing for a warm early-summer evening. For fans of Tatort, there’s SOKO Linz: an Austrian procedural that follows a similar format to the Tatort franchise and features an ensemble cast that fans are sure to love.
As for returning crime dramas, the Danish series Norskov returns for a second season after much buzz earlier this year, and Italian 70s crime drama Romanzo Criminale is back for Season 2.

Determined to “help” her solve crimes, Claire and Philippe throw themselves into her investigations - much to Charline’s exasperation.
